I really love when a photographer takes great detailed shots of the big day. Today’s real wedding from Tomayia of Tomayia Colvin Photography shows great shots of not only the bride and groom but of the decor and the participation of their 3 little boys. Take a look below!
From the Photographer:
“When Veronica met Mark in 2003, he was a friend of her best friend—one who was having a New Year’s party at his place, and invited them both to come along. Ringing in the New Year together led to a much bigger new beginning: an enduring relationship, three sons, and this year, their gorgeous outdoor wedding with 150 of their family members and close friends.
Mark and Veronica’s preparations started with choosing the perfect venue: a place with the feeling of a cozy-but-classic weekend away with family, with a little splash of bling—one with “a little bit of everything!” They decided on the Knickerbocker Estates for its mix of antique and modern and its peaceful five-acre grounds.
The ceremony and reception were full of lovingly crafted details—and Veronica’s hands-on personality! She personally created all of their countless decorations to match their turquoise-and-pink wedding colors. Even more of her time and care went into designing and handcrafting the wedding invitations and the thank-you cards on every place setting—a way to personally let each of their guests know how important they were to her, Mark, and their family.
All the work and care, in the end, was worth it—as was the wait before Mark and Veronica’s wedding day. Seeing the smiles on their three sons’ faces as they lit the Unity Tree together—symbolizing not just the love between Mark and Veronica but the love of their whole family, from the roots of their parents and grandparents to the new branches of their sons—holds a special place in Veronica’s heart, and the balloons they released honored those who couldn’t attend, especially Veronica’s mother, who recently passed away.
“The weather was perfect,” she said. “Everything went smoothly. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day.”? Their family-centered celebration ended beautifully, with plans for a family honeymoon in St. Thomas in December 2014.”
