So when today’s engagement shoot hit my inbox I couldn’t wait to feature it. It combines Fall + One Hot Couple + An Awesome photographer. You can’t go wrong with those 3 elements. I just love their style! Shayna’s boots are lovely and Dro complimented her with his fall look. Some of my favorite shots are toward the end when they got a little fancy and changed into more night time looks. And to add to that their wedding is on my birthday this year!! 11/14/15…I’m sure it’ll be a great day!! 😉
From the Photographer:
“When you spend most of your waking hours at work, it’s not surprising that it is where you end up finding the love of your life! This was the story of how Shayna and Surendra (aka Dro) met! They won each other over with their great sense of humor and their love of music.
What isn’t beautiful about the fall season? The colors of fall were just what Shayna and Dro wanted as their backdrop for their engagement session. We were excited about shooting at Talcott Mountain during this time of year because of the beautiful foliage colors and autumn atmosphere. We finished the night in downtown Hartford to capture their stylish side!
The couple shared with us that they wanted their engagement session photos to capture the fall in New England seeing that their wedding is 11/14/15. We worked with the them to pick out some awesome locations where we could capture the beauty of fall. They also wanted some photos with a city feel that really captured the essence of who they are as both individuals and a couple. It was an amazing experience. Downtown Hartford was the perfect location.
We wanted their personalities to shine more than anything, so Shayna and Dro chose to go with a trendy, but classic, fall attire for their first e-session look. Their choice of attire meshed really well with their skin tone and complimented each other.
For their second look, the couple desired a more trendy/sexy feel for the “city” themed photos. Dro aimed for comfort; and so his jacket was a burgundy velvet fitted jacket complimented by a pair of slacks to round off the semi-formal feel. Shayna picked a gorgeous black fitted, long sleeved lace dress because of her love for lace sleeves; and the cut of the dress accentuated her slim silhouette.”
Shayna and Dro’s shared tips for couples planning for their engagement shoot:
“When it comes to clothing, look in your closet first because chances are you already own something that makes you feel awesome! Also, the clothes you own represent you as an individual so it becomes easier for the couple to showcase their personalities.
For our engagement shoot, we really wanted to capture both sides of our personality. So we partnered up with Keith and Chinenye to select locations that made us feel comfortable, brought out the best in us and have fun with! Both of our e-session locations were a representation of who we are as a couple and it also compliments the theme of our fall wedding!”
As a wedding blogger I focus on the love story through the photographer’s eyes. So, I’d like to thank the team at Time Frozen Photography for such a detailed account of their time with Shayna & Dro. And special thanks to Shayna & Dro for their tips to engaged couples on capturing a good photo shoot!
